Last summer during the hottest days in Moscow there was a unique moment: an invasion of moths.
The artist shot the moths whirling around a street lamp. The free flight of moths was thus their last ball – moths live for just one day.
The camera installed outside a window captured images of their curious dance for the entire night. As a result, the artist had over 1200 pictures that he has pasted together. The video produced was mirrored and combined together. The symmetrical patterns which appeared are reminiscent of a peculiar calligraphy, with elements of cryptography that flow one into the other.
