Irina Korina Zakluchenie

Zakluchenie in Russian has two meanings:
1). conclusion, inference; 2). confinement, detention.
The shapeless mass of the plasticine represents a collection of memories and images from the past. It’s no longer possible to identify any definite subjects from the colourful mixture.
Plasticine has always been a basic tutorial method used to help develop children’s motor skills. During the Soviets plasticine had a very firmtexture and was difficult to sculpt. Only dark greyish colours were available.
The viscosity and shapelessness of the material embody the uncertainty of minds and the indifference in society. Plasticine moves without any direction and keeps destroying all in its path. There is no barrier or regime that is able to contain the undefined mass, the most irrefutable authority and moving force.
